Our Story

The Ummeed Hope Foundation (UHF) was established with the hope of restoring and building the lives of underprivileged children through education, food, and shelter. The founder, Sayyed Badshah, grew up as an orphan on the streets of Mumbai. Back then, Bombay Teen Challenge offered him a chance to study; he jumped at the opportunity and never looked back. Today, the UHF is actively engaged with 80 children from the age of 3 to 16 years in Bangalore by offering basic education in three makeshift classrooms. Our vision is to secure scholarships for mainstream school entry for the children, who will be supported through tutoring, counseling, and daily meals at a nearby facility. This commitment ensures a successful transition for these students into local schools, embodying the heart of our vision.
